Dear Audubon Print Collector,

David O. Johnson - Founder of Princeton Audubon LimitedJohn James Audubon -the greatest wildlife artist of all time.  Robert Havell, Jr. - the master engraver personally selected by Audubon to work with his historic masterpieces.  Together -more than 160 years ago- they produced Birds of America, the most magnificent and valuable collection of wildlife art ever published.

Now, from the original pages of Birds of America, the legendary art of John James Audubon and his renowned engraver, Robert Havell, Jr. is faithfully recaptured in an unprecedented limited edition set of his splendid art prints.  Most significantly, the Princeton Audubon Collection is a "first generation" edition.  What does that mean?  While others, such as the fine Amsterdam, and Abbeville editions, were only produced by copying photographs of originals, the Princeton Collection is produced by copying the originals themselves, which we purchased and brought into our printing plant, physically using them in our reproduction process. Thus they are just one step (first generation) from the actual originals.
